We are pleased to present a final call for the J. Estill Alexander Future Leaders in Literacy Awards. At this time, please reach out to recent graduates and encourage them to submit their work for consideration. ALER’s Research Committee is deeply committed to supporting emerging scholars and we would love to read their work and recognize their accomplishments. Outstanding Master’s Paper Award

Encourage your graduate students—master’s levels—to submit their papers for ALER’s awards for outstanding master’s papers.  Each year the ALER Research Committee sponsors judging of an outstanding master’s research paper (e.g., thesis, action research, commentary, problem paper, capstone paper, or theoretical paper written to complete requirements for a master’s or specialist degree program). Award recipients will be invited to discuss their paper at ALER’s Annual Meeting in November 2018, and receive certificates of merit, support for conference attendance (travel and registration), and a year’s membership in ALER. In addition, the award recipient is invited to submit a manuscript to the ALER Yearbook based on a version of their master’s research paper or presentation. Please see the application details and guidelines at Call for Outstanding Master’s Paper Awards Application for 2018, found on the ALER website https://www.aleronline.org/page/futureleaderscall.
